He seeks to bridge the gap between various systems of ancient Indian perspectives and practices and is equally interested in inter spiritual inquiry and dialogue between the various wisdom systems from the contemporary and ancient worlds.
Music, movement and art are central to his work.
He plays the veena, the bansuri (indian flute), percussion and sings with an intention of how the power of sound and music can be used to unleash forces of nature and their role in the transformation of consciousness.
Poetry and movement are other mediums he works with.
During my youth I would fall into spontaneous states of meditative absorption and altered states of consciousness, particularly during solitary periods n nature. This initiated my journey into inquiry.
While I do not solely identify myself with a particular view, these are some of the wisdom systems I have recieved transmissions in and teachers who have influenced me:
Vajrayana Buddhism: Jetsumna Tenzin Palmo and H.H. The Dalai Lama
Dhrupad/indian classical music: Dagar gharana elders Pandit Asit Kumar Banerjee and Pandit Rajshekhar Vyas.
Satipatthana Vipassana (insight meditation through mindfulness): with Patrick Kearney (in the lineage of Mahasi Sayadaw of Burma) and Christopher Titmuss.
Advaita Vedanta: Swami Tattvavidananda (lineage of Swami Dayanand Saraswati) and Swami Premananda (lineage of Swami Sivananda Saraswati).
Yoga: Yoga institute, Santacruz founded by the late Sri Yogendraji.
I have also been deeply influenced and guided by the presence and teachings of Sri Aurobindo ,The Mother, Meher Baba and Chogyam Trungpa
